NEIGHBORHOOD

THE VILLAGE OF KOPAN

Until 1945 it was the German Kopahn, a picturesque village located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in Slawno county, in the Darłowo Commune. According to data from September 28, 2009, the village had 130 permanent residents. The town has a name of Slavic origin, which means a knoll or a hill. Kopan is located on a moraine hill with a far-reaching view of Lake Kopan and the Baltic Sea. In the immediate vicinity of our Summer Resort there is a newly built, several-kilometer-long seaside bicycle route.
Two kilometers from Letnisko there is Jerzy’s horse farm. You can treat yourself to horse-riding lessons, hippotherapy, and learn the customs and rules of caring for these beautiful animals.

LAKE KOPAN

A coastal lake, rich in fish, and a breeding ground and refuge for numerous species of birds. Due to storm inflows of sea water through the usually dry channel connecting the lake with the sea, the water in the lake is slightly salty. Lake Kopan is a good place for windsurfing. Together with the forested spit separating it from the sea, it is planned to be protected as a Natura 2000 area. According to various sources, the area of this body of water is approximately 789 ha. The water table is located at an altitude of 0.1 m above sea level. The average depth of the lake is 1.9 m, while the maximum depth is 3.9 m.

THE TOWN OF DARLOWO

A tourist town on the Baltic Sea, located only 5 km from the Arkadia Summer Resort. In Darlowo, in addition to countless atmospheric restaurants, bars and stalls, tourists can visit the lighthouse, the picturesque port (the original buildings of the fishing port from the 19th and 20th centuries), historic post-German defensive bunkers used to secure the banks and the port in Darłowo, the Captain Witold Hubert sliding bridge with a control tower (the only device of this type on the Polish coast, connecting East Darlowko with West, but available only for pedestrians and bicycles). The medieval urban layout of the Old Town gives the town a lot of charm. Just 2 km from the Summer Resort, following the paved, charming road along the beach, we reach the Darlowo center and the Jan Aquapark.

THE VILLAGE OF JAROSLAWIEC

A picturesque, recreational and fishing village on the Baltic Sea, it is approximately 15 km from Kopan. There is a modern Aquapark in Jaroslawiec, which is a great alternative to relaxing on the Baltic Sea in case of bad weather. There are also artificially created beaches in Jaroslawiec. This town can be reached by the bicycle path running along the sea, right next to the Arkadia Summer Resort.

THE CHARLOTTA VALLEY

The Charlotta Valley is approximately 40 km from Kopan. It is a beautiful recreation complex where both adults and children can have a great time. It is a fairytale land for children, with a sealarium, a zoo, a water safari and inflatables. You can ride horses and go boating on Lake Zamelowski. Undoubtedly the biggest attraction of this place is the amphitheater with a capacity of 10,000, where stars such as Carlos Santana, Bob Dylan, Marillion and Nigel Kennedy have given concerts. A photo gallery of stars who performed at the Charlotta Valley can be admired in the hotel lobby.
